Dr Darnell is Senior Physician, Associate Medical Director and Associate Program Director at Rockefeller University Hospital GCRC, Robert and Harriet Heilbrunn Professor of Cancer Biology and Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He is Attending Neurologist and Member (Affiliate) of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), Memorial Hospital for Cancer & Allied Diseases (MH) (Clinical Assistant Attending 1990-1992; Assistant Attending, 1997-2001; Attending 2001-present). He has been Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience (Affiliate), Cornell University Medical College since 2002. Bob Darnell is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Society for Neuroscience and the RNA Society. He has received the Hirschl Career Scientist Award, the Derek Denny-Brown Neurological Scholar Award, and the Burroughs Wellcome Clinical Scientist Award in Translational Research.
