R&D Facts & Figures

A global R&D organisation

There are three Research Centres of Excellence: Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium), Cambridge (UK) and Slough (UK), where UCB’s R&D headquarters are located. These centres focus on CNS, inflammation and oncology/immunology respectively.

The main development sites are in Atlanta (US), Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium), Monheim (Germany), Research Triangle Park (US), Slough (UK) and Tokyo (Japan). Many of these sites also host NCDS (non-clinical developmental sciences) and global regulatory affairs activities.

Other R&D activities are undertaken at key manufacturing sites in Bulle (Switzerland), Rochester (New York, US) and Shannon (Ireland).
