Equasym XL™ / Metadate CD™ (ADHD)

Equasym XL™ (methylphenidate) and Metadate CD™ (methylphenidate HCl, USP) (CII) are extended-release treatments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

As part of a comprehensive treatment programme, Equasym XL™ and Metadate CD™ relieve the symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsiveness that are typical of ADHD.

In the UK, Equasym XL™ is used as part of a comprehensive treatment programme for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) when remedial measures alone are insufficient in children over 6 years of age.

In the USA, Metadate® CD (equivalent to Equasym XL™) extended release capsules are used for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Metadate® CD should not be used in children under 6 years of age.

Short-acting formulations are also available to provide flexible dosing possibilities: Equasym™ and Metadate ER™.
